The opening ceremonies for the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro kick off on Friday, August 5 at 7 p.m., and restaurants and bars in Boston are prepared to play host to guests who want to take in all the action over the course of the next few weeks.
Olympic events will be aired on televisions and projection screens, and some restaurants will be offering special cocktails, appetizers, and more in honor of the Games, drawing inspiration from both Brazilian cuisine and the athletes themselves.
Whether you're cheering for your favorite athlete, sport, or country, these restaurants and bars have you covered. Catch all the events, starting with the pre-opening ceremony women's soccer games, from August 3 through August 21.
