Pisco Sour at Machu Picchu
There are pisco sours all over town, but rarely are they more appropriate than here. After all, this is Peru's patron drink. This sour combines pisco, lime juice, simple syrup, bitters, and frothy egg white.
Left Turn at Albuquerque at Trina's
A punchy shot of carrot juice pays homage to the Bugs Bunny cartoon from which this Pisco Sour-inspired drink takes its name. Like its inspiration, this combines lemon and pisco and adds Cocchi Americano and agave nectar.
Fort Washington Flip at Green Street
Former bar manager Misty Kalkofen's cozy concoction of egg, Applejack, Benedictine, and maple syrup lives on here, making raw egg seem right for cold weather. The drink is garnished with a dash of toasty nutmeg and is named for a nearby historical site.
Ramos Fizz at Cuchi Cuchi
More than one egg white drink awaits you here, should you know what to look for. Order a classic like the Pisco Sour or The Ramos Fizz, which are both topped with that telltale froth.
Fratelli Flip at Lineage
This whole-egg drink, created by bartender Brendan Pratt, is laced with Averna and Dewar's Blended Scotch and topped with Angostura and Peychaud's Bitters. The result is so malty rich that it only seems right to sip it from a regal wine glass.
"Oeuf" Section at Eastern Standard
Here you'll find an entire "Oeuf" section of the drink menu as well as the disclaimer "consuming raw eggs may increase your risk of being held in high regard by the bar." For the Bourbon Derby Flip, a full bodied bar favorite, think next-level egg nog. The cocktail is made with sherry, Four Roses bourbon, and a touch of cream.
Flip Royal at The Hawthorne
The bar combines King’s Ginger, rooibos, bitters, and egg to create a thick and cozy cocktail, perfect for this season. Other egg concoctions include the Ramos Gin Fizz and the Fenway Flip.
New York Fizz at Clio
The sizable menu here includes this pink beauty, made with cranberry-infused Aquavit, lemon juice and grapefruit bitters. An ethereal top layer of egg white gives the drink an attractive fade.
Zimmermann Telegram at No. 9 Park
A sweet change on the Morning Glory, bar manager Ted Kilpatrick adds Belgian IPA and a frothy egg white to the mix. In addition to the classics, the bar prepares their Stormchaser and Mad Monk Fizz with a whole egg.
Carver Flip at Stoddard's
Named after peanut trailblazer George Washington Carver, this classic flip created by principal bartender Eric Cross gets a dusting of aromatic peanut butter powder. The creamy drink combines egg yolk, Appleton rum, and citrusy Curaçao.
Electric Current at Drink
The guys at Drink say this cocktail is the hangover cure all. Prepared like a gin fizz with frothed egg white on top, the egg's yolk is served alongside with a little vinegar. Additions of Tabasco and Worcestershire are welcome.
Pink Poodle at Toro
Girly name aside, this drink packs a punch thanks to the Beija Cachaça. Sweet notes from grenadine help balance out the lemon and lime juice, and if you order one you get to say "Poodle."
