Spoke’s patio might be small, but that doesn’t keep it from being one of the best places in Somerville to experience knockout food and wine pairings. While chef John DaSilva turns out some of the city’s most exciting seasonal dishes, Liz Mann’s food-friendly wine list means it’s hard to find a bottle that won’t make your taste buds sing. Put it all together, and it’s proof that simple is delicious.

A more extensive Spanish wine list does not exist in Boston, and one could argue that chef/owner Deborah Hansen’s love letter to the Iberian rivals that of any other stateside. Cult favorites and old school producers fill the pages (and pages) of Hansen’s lovingly written list, spanning the peninsula from Rioja to Galicia to Andalusia and back again. The patio is wide and airy, and if Hansen’s working she’ll happily steer you toward a rarified sherry herself.View Taberna de Haro's wine list.
