1,800-square-foot beer garden at Assembly Row with a huge collection of board games. Stroller-friendly; very family-friendly during the day. Dog-friendly; three leashed dogs allowed on the pavilion at a time. Heated; propane heaters throughout the pavilion. There's one television that's on for major sporting events. Anthem Kitchen & Bar

Located right by Faneuil Hall and Quincy Market, Anthem's 40-seat patio is open for lunch and dinner daily, as long as weather permits. There are some umbrellas to help with shade, and it's heated.

Dog-friendly, stroller-friendly patio located adjacent to the Technology Square courtyard. Large lawn area with Adirondack chairs and space for kids to run around. Plenty of sun, but there's a portion shaded by the restaurant's overhang roof. Check Instagram or Twitter for updates on weather-related closures.

Popular Dorchester patio with dollar oysters, littlenecks, and shrimp cocktail on Thursdays from 5 p.m. until they run out. Fenced-in space with lots of greenery and decorations.

This uncovered patio is nestled behind the restaurant. While it doesn't accept normal reservations, it can be rented for private events. Televisions will be installed in May. Keep an eye on Instagram for patio events throughout the season, including occasional dollar oysters, wine tastings, brunches with patio games, and more.

B&G Oysters

This sunken patio is hidden behind the restaurant and features plenty of greenery. It has sunny and shady spots. It's stroller-friendly if you can get the stroller down the flight of stairs. Heated with lamps when needed.

Bar Mezzana

This sunny, floral sidewalk patio is heated (heat lamps) and has umbrellas. Dog-friendly (they must stay on the outer boundary) and stroller-friendly. No official reservations, but they'll honor requests when possible. In addition to the front patio for dining, there's a small side patio on Traveler Street just for drinks (the "Spritz Corral"). This dog-friendly, stroller-friendly patio is a sunny open space on "The Plaza" outside of BPM's Siena Farms and Bon Me entrance, across from the Greenway. It features 10 communal, colorful picnic tables that seat about eight people each. Dollar oysters from market vendor Red's Best on the first Sunday of each month (11 a.m. to 7 p.m.) — buy inside and enjoy outside.

Branch Line's shady 60-seat patio stays open most of the year as the bulk of it is heated and covered. (Sides can be rolled up or down depending on the weather.) The adjacent regulation bocce court is open when weather permits. When making a reservation, request the patio, and they'll accommodate when possible. Full buyouts are available for events. Somewhat dog-friendly; they must be tied to the outer edge of the patio, not on the actual patio. Stroller-friendly.

The Cheers patio, located in the heart of the Faneuil Hall marketplace, is dog-friendly (they must be tied on the outer edge) and heated (heat lamps). There's no room for strollers on the patio, but they'll store them for you and provide high chairs. No televisions outside, but you can see ones inside from the patio. Mostly covered. Large, moveable umbrellas available for shade in the uncovered section. Check Facebook for updates.
