From the Nem Kitchen pop-up team, Cicada Coffee Bar is a Vietnamese cafe that embraces the motto “live slowly to understand deeply,” inspired by the teachings of Vietnamese monk and spiritual leader Thích Nhất Hạnh. To that end: There’s no wifi, and there’s a bit of lovely garden seating out back, a perfect spot to sit quietly and reflect. Try a drink such as the Sea Salt Shaker — Vietnamese phin dripped coffee, foam, Maine sea salt, sweetened condensed milk — and something from the concise pescatarian menu, such as a noodle salad or banh mi with cured salmon. There are pastries from Cambridge’s Café Beatrice (see above), too.
