Alcove’s focus on the New England coast means lots of seafood — try some local oysters or clams, or an entree such as the Old Bay-crusted hake — but the availability of dishes like burgers and roasted half chickens means there’s something for everyone at this classy West End spot.

Located on the outskirts of the North End — and still within sightline of TD Garden — is Ducali, a charming Roman-style pizzeria that has been slinging pies for over a decade. Pair the pizza with a pint from a respectable lineup of New England beers on tap.

Head to A&B to fuel up on fried chicken sandwiches, wings, pasta, potato skins — all the sustenance needed for a full two hours of screaming in the stands at the game. Or, stop by afterwards: The restaurant is open ‘til 11 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 12 a.m. on Friday and Saturday; and 10 p.m. on Sunday.

Tasty Burger is Boston’s In-N-Out Burger. Tasty Burger is better than In-N-Out Burger. Eat a Big Tasty, and wash it down with a local beer or two.

Tavern in the Square

If it’s crowd-pleasing apps and cheap beer you’re after, the West End location of location chain Tavern in the Square is a can’t-miss stop before a game.

Hub Hall

TD Garden’s food options improved dramatically with the opening of Hub Hall, a food hall adjacent to the stadium, in 2021. There’s Apizza, from Mida chef Douglass Williams; Greco, the fast-casual Greek shop from the same folks behind popular Back Bay spot Krasi; Cusser’s, the laid-back offshoot of upscale seafood spot Mooncusser, and a whole lot more.

Ward 8 offers a selection of salads and American bistro fare, like grilled salmon and steak frites. Have a fancy cocktail while you’re at it.
