Sweet Cheeks Is Raffling Off a Lifetime Supply of Biscuits for Its 10th Birthday

Plus, igloo season is here, and more news

Several plump buttermilk biscuits are stacked inside a big tin can lined with brown paper. There’s a small side of whipped butter.

Sweet Cheeks Q, chef and restaurateur Tiffani Faison’s Fenway barbecue joint, marks a decade in operation on November 11 and is celebrating with a number of specials from November 9 to November 13, including a big raffle that’ll excite lovers of the restaurant’s iconic biscuits: One lucky entrant will win a biscuit every day for the rest of their life. (The fine print: The winner can get one biscuit every day — dine-in or takeout, during normal business hours — for as long as Sweet Cheeks Q is open; the prize isn’t transferable or cumulative.)

Head to Sweet Cheeks from the 9th to the 13th to enter the raffle and enjoy specials, like $10 buckets of biscuits, $10 buckets of Miller High Life ponies, and 10th anniversary cake by Faison’s hospitality group’s pastry chef, Dee Steffen Chinn.

A Southern brunch chain is coming to town

In other carb-y news, a Charleston-based chain called Toast All Day that features brunch food is franchising out a bit around the country, with a Boston location in the works for this year or next. On the menu: biscuit sandwiches, beignets, shrimp and grits, eggs Benedict, and more. (Meanwhile, New England’s own toasty brunch chain, the Friendly Toast, is working on opening its seventh and eighth locations, which will be in North Andover and Chestnut Hill.)

Igloo season has returned

Seaport District farm-to-table restaurant Woods Hill Pier 4 has filled its waterfront patio with heated igloos for the colder months. Groups of up to six people can book one for dinner or weekend brunch; there’s a $450 or $300 minimum spend respectively. Book online: Choose a date and then look for the section entitled “waterfront igloo brunch” or “dining under the stars.”

Update, November 12, 2021: This piece has been updated to reflect that the Sweet Cheeks prize will be a biscuit each day, not a bucket of biscuits each day.
