2020 doesn’t lend itself to gathering in groups for festive Oktoberfest celebrations, but that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the season at home. Here are several Boston-area breweries, restaurants, and businesses from which you can order takeout and/or delivery of beer, sausages, pretzels, and more.

Bronwyn
255 Washington St., Union Square, Somerville
Union Square’s German and Central European restaurant, Bronwyn, is featuring a special Oktoberfest beer and food menu from September 17 through October 25; the takeout/delivery menu includes some of the restaurant’s house-made sausages and pretzels, of course, and more.
Bronwyn is currently offering indoor and outdoor dining as well as takeout (Toast) and delivery (Grubhub, Uber Eats).
Hugh O’Neill’s
45 Pleasant St., Malden
The Malden pub is serving Oktoberfest food specials from September 22 through October 4, including pretzels with beer cheese; fried pork schnitzel on a pretzel bun; beer-braised pork shanks; and more. The beer selection includes seasonal brews from Ayinger, Mahr’s Brau, Weihenstephan, and others.

Jack’s Abby
100 Clinton St., Framingham
The local brewery’s food menu includes a variety of Oktoberfest-friendly items, including pretzels made with the House Lager (accompanied by beer cheese, of course) and “fest pizza” (mustard cream, bratwurst, gruyere, sauerkraut, pickled red onions). Getting takeout? Add some of Jack’s Abby’s Oktoberfest beer, Copper Legend, to your order. (Beer not available with delivery orders.)

Juliet
21 Union Sq., Union Square, Somerville
Juliet’s Oktoberfest menu will be available for takeout on September 27; the three-course meal includes pretzels with beer mustard; bratwurst with accoutrements or pesto spaetzle; and German apple cake.
Juliet is currently offering outdoor seating and takeout (official website) for dinner and brunch several days a week.
Remnant Brewing
2 Bow Market Way, Union Square, Somerville
Remnant is collaborating with Brighton’s Brato Brewhouse & Kitchen to offer a take-home Oktoberfest kit, which can be picked up at Remnant. The two-person meal ($60) includes a five-course dinner (pretzels, bratwurst, pumpkin spaetzle, pork schnitzel, and German chocolate cake) and two 25-ounce crowlers of Remnant’s Fest Lager, a Marzen lager.
Remnant is currently offering outdoor seating as well as beer pickup and limited delivery, but this kit is specifically a takeout offering; order online by September 20. Pickup is on September 24.
Beer
Dorchester Brewing Co.
1250 Massachusetts Ave., Dorchester, Boston
Dorchester Brewing Co.’s Fest Bier, a Marzen lager, is now available (4.9% ABV), brewed with Vienna and Pilsner malts and German Hallertau Tradition hops. It’s available in the taproom but also in four-packs for drinking at home.

Night Shift Brewing
87 Santilli Hwy., Everett; 1 Lovejoy Wharf, West End, Boston
Night Shift’s Oktoberfest-style lager, Steinbier, is available in 16-ounce four-packs from both the Everett and Boston locations. Adventurous drinkers may also want to try the Pretzelbier, a lager brewed with mustard seed and salt.
Night Shift is offering patio seating and beer pickup at both locations; Everett curbside pickup orders can be made online.
Remnant Brewing

If you don’t want to go all in on the full meal collaboration between Remnant and Brato (see the “full meals” section above, Remnant is also offering crowlers of its Fest Lager on its own.

Sam Adams
60 State St., Boston
After a brief break from September 8 through 17, Sam Adams’ new downtown Boston taproom reopens for pickup orders on September 18, with a couple Oktoberfest offerings: 32-ounce crowlers of Sam Adams’ Marzen lager, Octoberfest (5.3% ABV), plus a half-liter stein.

Accoutrements
Brato Brewhouse & Kitchen
190 N. Beacon St., Brighton, Boston
The Brighton brewery is known in part for its house-made sausages, and several varieties are available for takeout, including an Oktoberfest wurst: double-length bratwurst with crispy Brussels sprouts, beer cheese, and mustard. Other options include a roasted chicken and apple sausage; bratwurst with sauerkraut and beer mustard; and curry pork chorizo. There’s plenty of other food on the menu, too, if you want to make a full meal of it, but the sausages are the most overtly Oktoberfest-appropriate. Eastern Standard Provisions Co.
Shipping nationwide
Based in Waltham, Eastern Standard Provisions Co. (founded, in part, by Garrett Harker, founder of the restaurant Eastern Standard) ships several shapes of soft pretzels, as well as dipping sauces and salts. An Oktoberfest box, available starting on September 8 for $29.99, includes a variety of pretzels, sauces, and salts.
Karl’s Sausage Kitchen & European Market
1 Bourbon St., Peabody
Up in Peabody, Karl’s has a selection of Oktoberfest-themed decor and other supplies available for pickup; unfortunately, some items are already sold out, but as of press time, you can still order forest green alpine hats, themed paper straws, golden beer mug confetti, and more. And of course: sausages. Lots and lots of sausages.
