The restaurateur behind Caribbean restaurant Oasis Cafe in Roslindale (630 Hyde Park Ave.) — which reportedly closed very recently — and vegan restaurant Oasis Vegan Veggie Parlor in Dorchester (340 Washington St.) is opening another Caribbean restaurant, this time near the Upham’s Corner neighborhood in Dorchester.
Oasis Enterprize Group, Inc. has applied for a common victualler license for the space at 33 Hancock St. in Dorchester. Chesterfield Coppin, who is listed as an executive at Oasis Enterprize Group, Inc., has an ownership stake in Oasis Cafe and Oasis Vegan Veggie Parlor, and he is listed as the manager of record for the new restaurant.
An employee at Oasis Vegan Veggie Parlor confirmed to Eater that Oasis is planning to open on Hancock Street and that it will serve Caribbean-inspired cuisine.
There is no opening timeline to announce at the moment, but keep an eye out for more Caribbean food in Dorchester soon.
