Dorchester welcomed a new Vietnamese restaurant in early June. Ban Toi Restaurant has officially joined the ranks of establishments on Dorchester Avenue, and it celebrated with a grand opening on June 8. The 1035 Dorchester Ave. restaurant sits between the Savin Hill and JFK/UMass MBTA red line stations, close to another Vietnamese restaurant, Ba Le, which is best known for its takeout banh mi, banh cuon, and more.
Ban Toi has shared some of its menu items on social media, showcasing options like grilled squid, chicken with rice, jackfruit salad, and fresh orange juice, among other items.
It is not far from pockets of restaurants both to the north (the Banshee, the Avenue, Singh’s Roti Shop, and Dorchester Brewing Company) and to the south (JJ’s Irish Pub, Savin Bar and Kitchen, Dbar, and several pho restaurants).
Ban Toi operates from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., according to its Facebook page.
