Sun-soaked North Cambridge cafe Noca Provisions (156 Rindge Ave.) will close permanently on June 16 after two years in business. Owner Robert Harris — who also operates Season to Taste catering and acclaimed restaurant the Table at Season to Taste, the latter with Top Chef alum and James Beard nominee Carl Dooley at the helm — told the Boston Globe the decision to close the cafe has been coming for the last few months.
Noca first opened in June 2017, serving locally sourced, seasonal foods, all made from scratch. The menu consisted of pastries like popovers and muffins, as well as cookies and galettes. Further breakfast and lunch items included frittatas, smashed avocado toast, lox-laden popovers, and yogurt with granola. The cafe also emphasized grab-and-go items and prepared foods, with heartier items like bowls, soups, and Sicilian-style pizza slices that built on Harris’s catering business.
Both of Harris’s other businesses will remain in operation. Catch Noca before it closes on Sunday, June 16.
