A small but popular South End restaurant group will add one more to the family — and the neighborhood — this summer. The team behind Bar Mezzana (360 Harrison Ave.) and Shore Leave/No Relation (both at 11 William E. Mullins Wy.) previously announced its intention to expand to the former Stephi’s on Tremont space at 571 Tremont St.; today, they’re sharing a few more details, including the name: Black Lamb.
Black Lamb — an “American brasserie” with an aim to serve as a neighborhood gathering spot — will serve lunch, dinner, and weekend brunch and is on track to open this summer. It is “a love letter to the community,” per today’s announcement.
Black Lamb comes from chef Colin Lynch and partners Heather Lynch, Jefferson Macklin, and Ben Kaplan, with beverage director Ryan Lotz and executive chef Chris Drown.
The team will be documenting the restaurant’s progress on Instagram. Design for Black Lamb comes from Hacin + Associates, which also designed Shore Leave, and Cafco Construction will build out the space. Stay tuned for further details on the food and drink menus and an opening timeline for Black Lamb.
