Tatte Bakery & Cafe just keeps on growing, and now it will finally have a location in Boston’s South End. Founder Tzurit Or announced the news on Instagram on Friday, May 17, sharing that the forthcoming South End bakery will operate at 345 Harrison Ave., within one of the neighborhood’s newer apartment buildings and across the street from a host of other dining establishments.

This is the latest addition to the expansion lineup for Tatte, which will also open locations in Washington, D.C. Most recently, Tatte opened a second downtown Boston cafe, and it will add a location on the campus of Berklee College of Music this summer. There are currently a dozen locations in operation in Boston, Cambridge, and Brookline.

The South End has, until now, remained without a Tatte, though a location opened nearby last year, on Huntington Avenue near Northeastern University. The forthcoming Harrison Avenue bakery and cafe joins a hotbed of food and beverage establishments, including Shore Leave and its adjoining sushi bar No Relation, plus Bar Mezzana, Lion’s Tail, Fuji at Ink Block, and Area Four, among others.

Tatte South End is slated to open this fall, according to Or’s announcement.
