Falafel King is officially dominating the fast-casual Mediterranean cuisine market downtown. The mini-chain opened its third location today, this time across from Boston Common at 145 Tremont St. in a space that was formerly a Subway sandwich shop.
The menu at the Tremont Street location is the same as the menus at the Summer Street and Washington Street locations: Diners are able to get Eastern Mediterranean items such as kafta, shish kabob, shawarma, tabbouli, and, of course, falafel.
Hours of operation differ slightly — the new Tremont Street location is open from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m., seven days a week. The Summer Street location is open from 11 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. weekdays (and closed on weekends), while the Washington Street location is open from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. on weekdays and from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. on weekends.
The new restaurant was originally slated for a January debut; after a small delay, it is now officially in business, so go enjoy some falafel.
