Casino Construction Causes Caribbean Restaurant to Close

Le Perle will look for a new location

After eight years at 41 Bow Street in Everett, La Perle Caribbean Restaurant will close the doors on March 16. The eatery announced the shutdown on Facebook, on February 26, with a Save the Date. The post read, “Save the date!! Calling all former patrons — all former DJs — join us as we celebrate the end of an era. The current location will be closing 3/16/19, We’re going out in style!!! Join us as we bid a final farewell to the Bow Street locations. Details on the new location to follow soon!!!”

Owner Valery Joseph tells the Everett Independent that the construction from the forthcoming luxury resort/casino Encore Boston Harbor is to blame. Joseph claims street closures and construction have made it difficult for her customers to reach the restaurant.

She tells the paper that she wants to find a new location in Everett, but the real estate market is tight.
