Meju Korean Kitchen in Davis Square has rebranded as Jae’s Cafe, bringing about a reincarnation of a once-defunct chain of Asian-fusion restaurants that last operated in Boston in 2015.
Boston Restaurant Talk writes that the folks behind Jae’s Cafe purchased a stake in Meju last year. An employee with the restaurant confirmed this with Eater Boston, but also said ownership from Meju retained a stake in the restaurant.
Jae’s Cafe closed its final Boston location in the South End in 2015, rebranding as Shun’s Kitchen. Jae’s also had locations in Theatre District, Back Bay, Brookline, Cambridge, Chestnut Hill, and North Adams.
