A swanky new hotel in South Boston partially unveils its new restaurant on the evening of Tuesday, October 15. Six West (stylized as Six \ West) opens at the Cambria Hotel, joining a family of restaurants under the direction of Bespoke Hospitality.
Six West takes its name from the hotel’s address, 6 West Broadway, and consists of both the ground floor dining space as well as the rooftop, which is outfitted with an overhanging wood canopy. The rooftop is coming soon — complete with a fireplace and potential wintery plans like igloos and ice skating. It will debut at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 15, with a limited menu; stay tuned for additions and developments.
On the roof, which spans 4,000 square feet and can accommodate 240 people, Six West will be serving a compact menu characterized as “global meets grocery store,” with items like popcorn with aged pecorino, duck fat butter, and hot sauce; fried mushrooms with linguica and truffle powder; and seared foie gras.
Meanwhile, on the ground level, opening tonight, there are breakfast options like avocado toast, a torched salmon bowl, and pastries, with Intelligentsia coffee. Lunch and dinner include dishes like short rib tacos, ahi tuna flatbreads, fried chicken bao, and a caviar panini with creme fraiche and chives. The restaurant serves wine, beer, and cocktails as well.
The Cambria Hotel is run by Meyer Jabara Hotels, which also runs Copley Square’s Courtyard by Marriott, and the designer, Rode Architects (stylized as RODE Architects), is a local firm that was also behind local restaurants Southern Proper, SRV, and Coppersmith, among others. Six West joins an array of neighboring restaurants, including Fox & the Knife and older spots like Worden Hall, Moonshine 152, and, much older, Amrheins.
