A popular downtown Boston falafel spot coming up on its 20th anniversary is opening a third location in the area. Falafel King, which operates locations on Summer Street and Washington Street, will open its latest shop across from the Common at 145 Tremont St. in a space once occupied by a Subway sandwich shop franchise.
The new location should open sometime in the next two weeks, an employee at the Summer Street location confirmed to Eater. The menu will be the same — diners will be able to get Eastern Mediterranean items such as kafta, shish kabob, shawarma, tabbouli, and, of course, falafel — but the hours of operation will differ.
The Summer Street location is open from 11 a.m. until 7:30 p.m. weekdays (and closed on weekends), while the Washington Street location is open from 11 a.m. until 9 p.m. on weekdays and from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. on weekends. The new Tremont Street location will be open from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. seven days a week.
