A restaurant blending Thai, Vietnamese, and Chinese dishes has opened between Kendall and Central squares in Cambridge. Mâe Asian Eatery (781 Main St.) made its debut at the end of December, with chef Yuri Asawasittikit at the helm, using her mother’s recipes for inspiration. In fact, “mâe” is the Thai word for mother.

The menu includes pho, dumplings, red beef curry, bun cha, short rib khao soi, and more. There are also desserts, teas (with boba), and appetizers.

Mâe took over the former Beijing Tokyo location, next to Cuchi Cuchi, and adapted the space to seat approximately 20 people. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner, operating daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
