A Boston food truck that specializes in Mediterranean dishes will add a brick-and-mortar restaurant. Sufra (52 Queensberry St.) — not to be confused with Sofra — will bring falafel and shawarma to the Fenway neighborhood, opening within the former Black Jack Pasta Bar space. (Black Jack is reopening in the South End.)

Though the addition of a permanent space will be new for Sufra, it’s no stranger to Fenway: The truck regularly parks by the Sunoco gas station at 1250 Boylston St. on weekdays. It also appears at BU East and the Boston Public Library.

The truck serves wraps stuffed with chicken shawarma, falafel, or chicken tenders, as well as steak sandwiches and a hot dog called the “wazzup” dog, which is topped with ketchup, mayo, relish, and jalapeños. The restaurant menu will include the same dishes, plus a few additions, such as beef, chicken, or lamb kebab wraps, stuffed grape leaves, kumpir (a Turkish-style stuffed baked potato), and more.

Sufra will be located right by Thaitation and M&J Teriyaki — and not far from “Restaurant Row” on Peterborough, which is home to Gyro City, El Pelón, Sushi Kappo, and more.
