A homegrown bakery continues its expansion across Greater Boston this week and next, opening two locations back to back. Tatte Bakery & Cafe unveils its location on Northeastern’s campus on Wednesday, August 29, and adds a Seaport bakery just a week later, on Wednesday, September 5.
The two new locations both sport Tatte’s familiar white-and-black-tiled interiors, complete with pastry cases stacked high with croissants, fruit tarts, and meringues, alongside other menu options, such as shakshuka, quiches, farro bowls, and more.
Tatte Northeastern, which opened at 7 a.m. today at 369 Huntington Ave., seats 72 people and features a new all-day menu, meaning students flocking to town for the start of classes next week will have easy access to egg sandwiches at all hours of the day, in addition to sandwiches, soups, coffee beverages, and pastries.
The bakery will also serve brunch all day on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Seaport’s bakery follows suit next week, bringing the grand total of Tattes up to 10. An eleventh location in Downtown Boston will join the mix this fall.
This growth spurt began two years ago when founder Tzurit Or opened a two-level Tatte in Harvard Square, later adding locations in Fenway and Back Bay. Or continues to work with former Panera CEO Ron Shaich in expanding the bakery across Greater Boston.
