East Boston’s Reelhouse (6 New St., Boston) is expanding to Quincy’s Marina Bay. The original location opened a little over a year ago and is part of the Navy Yard Hospitality Group, which also operates Pier 6 in Charlestown and Mija Cantina & Tequila Bar at Faneuil Hall Marketplace (and eventually at Logan Airport).
The new location will open inside of the Meriel Marina Bay luxury apartment complex (552 Victory Rd., Quincy), according to Navy Yard Hospitality Group managing partner Charlie Larner. Reelhouse in East Boston is also situated inside a luxury apartment building, the Eddy.
Larner expects construction to begin sometime in October and hopes the restaurant will be operational by spring 2019. Like the original location, it will feature water and skyline views, patio seating, and a focus on seafood.

Marc Orfaly (The Beehive, Pigalle), who helped open the East Boston location, will be the opening chef for the new location.
And this might not be the only expansion for Reelhouse: Larner has his eye on other waterfront locations and marinas in Massachusetts and elsewhere in New England, with a particular interest in Nantucket.
“[The Quincy expansion] was a natural move because it’s a beautiful marina in the metro Boston area,” said Larner. “We are actively looking for waterfront locations that have commuter boat access to the city and boat access to our other destinations.”
