Kōhi Coffee Company is opening a second Boston proper location. The Provincetown-based coffee company has applied for a common victualler license at 125 Summer St. in Downtown Boston, not far from South Station, and the hearing will take place on Wednesday, July 11, at 10 a.m.

The Downtown shop will be Kōhi’s second Boston location: The coffee company opened at Boston Landing (130 Guest St., Boston) in Brighton in October 2017, three years after the original location opened in Provincetown. The company also operates a seasonal cafe at Spindler’s, which is a French-Italian-New England restaurant in Provincetown’s East End.

Kōhi uses beans from Tandem Coffee Roasters in Portland, ME, and serves espresso, cold brew, pour overs, and tea, plus baked goods like scones, biscotti, granola, and cookies. It also serves one hell of a good breakfast sandwich, as well as various other breakfast and lunch items.

The new shop could open sometime in August and will feature a walk-up window.
