Woburn-based Italian restaurant TreMonte has opened an outpost in the heart of Boston’s Italian dining neighborhood. The new North End restaurant at 76 Salem St. took the place of Limoncello 2 and kicked off business earlier this month serving a full menu of antipasti, pasta, parmigiana, and more.

Owner and chef Antony Contarino operates the original TreMonte location in Woburn, plus two locations of TreMonte Pizzeria — a more casual, bar-oriented offshoot — in Lowell and Tyngsborough, the latter of which opened last November. As for expanding to Boston, he previously told Eater, “the space was great and my family is from the North End. I figured I ought to take the shot now while I have the opportunity.”

The menu for the new TreMonte features a full array of parmigiana dishes, served with pasta. Diners can get chicken, eggplant, or veal versions with tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese. Pasta dishes range from tagliatelle bolognese to lobster ravioli, while entrees include veal chop, sauteed chicken, and baked haddock with shrimp.

TreMonte serves dinner seven days a week in the North End, from 4 to 10 p.m. Sunday through Tuesday, from 4 to 10:30 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, and from 4 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
