A pizza pop-up starts a summer residency in Lower Allston this week. Rabottini’s Pizza opens the doors to its temporary home on Tuesday, June 26, kicking off business slinging rectangular pizzas in the former Stone Hearth Pizza space at 182 Western Ave.

Rabottini’s started as a pop-up at Bagelsaurus in Cambridge’s Porter Square, where it served a rotation of pizzas during lunchtime on Fridays. Now, founder Dan Roberts has a bigger space to churn out pizzas five days a week.

In addition to the familiar rectangular pizzas, Rabottini’s will serve 17-inch round pizzas, available as pies only (no slices), along with some salads. There will be plain pies with cheese, plus several other options with red or white sauce like pepperoni, sausage and peppers, or mushroom. Customers can also choose to add their own toppings to plain pies, including Kalamata olives, pickled peppers, or shaved red onions.

Rabottini’s has also partnered with Gracie’s Ice Cream in Somerville’s Union Square to serve a winning combo of pizza and ice cream. There will be three flavors available in Allston, and there’s reportedly a dedicated Rabottini’s flavor in the works. Rabottini’s is expected to operate in Allston through the fall, Tuesday through Saturday from 5 to 10 p.m.
