Roost Bistro (259 Newbury St., Back Bay) has closed after four years in business, though a sibling bakery remains open. An employee with the restaurant — and a message posted to the restaurant’s website — confirmed the closure.

Roost Bistro replaced the Creperie (under the same ownership) in June 2014 and served mostly New American bistro fare, such as salmon burgers, various flatbreads, steak tips, and a vast brunch menu including several takes on eggs Benedict. Next door to the now-closed restaurant sits its sister pastry shop, Patisserie on Newbury, which is still open and serving desserts, breakfast and lunch sandwiches, pastries, coffee, and more.

It is unclear what’s next for the space once occupied by Roost Bistro. Eater has reached out to the restaurant’s general manager but has not yet received a response. This piece will be updated as more information becomes available.
