A new coffee shop has debuted near Alewife. Revival Cafe & Kitchen (125 Cambridgepark Dr., Cambridge) opened with an abbreviated menu, including pastries made on-site and coffee. This is the first of two planned locations for Revival, which is the work of Liza Shirazi of Harvard Square’s Crema Cafe and Steve “Nookie” Postal, chef-owner of Commonwealth in Kendall Square and partner at Crema.
In a post on Instagram Thursday, Revival shared a spread of pastries that are available this week, including croissants, muffins, and fruit danishes. The cafe will offer a house coffee as well as a complex blend, the latter of which currently comes from Passenger Coffee in Pennsylvania. More menu items are on the way, so stay tuned.
Postal has been sharing all the details on the construction and development of both Revival Cafes, along with a third forthcoming project: a beer hall at Alewife called Mothership. The second Revival is currently under construction at 197 Elm St. in Somerville’s Davis Square.
