Popsicle shop Wild Pops (3213 Washington St., Jamaica Plain) opened its doors on Wednesday, May 2, according to a Twitter post from the venue. Earlier, the shop had operated a temporary, seasonal storefront on Washington Street, as previously reported, and later remained open for wholesale and catering orders but not for walk-in sales. Now the storefront is officially back in business.

Wild Pops owner Shira Gold got the idea for the company while living in Los Angeles, she told told Eater in December.

“My good friend’s mother is from Ecuador, and she made these great herbal teas,” explained Gold at the time. “So we tried to turn them into popsicles. We never quite figured the teas out, but other flavors began to come together.”

Now, popsicle lovers can indulge in flavors such as spicy pineapple, tamarind Thai chili, dark Belgian chocolate, and more at the Wild Pops storefront and beyond. Gold also sells her frozen treats at the Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline (290 Harvard St.), both Chilacates locations in JP (224 Amory St.; 658 Centre St.), the Video Underground in JP (3202 Washington St.), and Wildflower Pantry in Brighton (575 Washington St.) The pops are also set to be available on weekends this spring at Turtle Swamp Brewing in JP (3377 Washington St.).

Head to JP, work up a sweat walking around the Arnold Arboretum, and cool off with a popsicle.
