Casalinga, an Italian restaurant located at 151 Hanover St. by Haymarket, has apparently shuttered, according to recent posts on the Boston Hospitality and Tourism Industry Blog and Boston Restaurant Talk.

The restaurant opened in October 2017, replacing the short-lived Lulu’s Kitchen, a Southern restaurant that closed in April 2017. It looks like Casalinga may have stayed open for only about six months, as a fan commented on the restaurant’s most recent Instagram post as far back as five weeks ago asking if it had closed permanently.

Casalinga served pizza, sandwiches, salads, and pasta, with a giant array of 30 sauces from which customers could choose. Other dishes included stuffed eggplant parmigiana and lasagna.

The restaurant maintained stellar reviews across Yelp, Google, and Facebook, so it’s unclear why it shuttered as quickly as it opened. Eater has tried to contact the restaurant for comment, but the telephone line has been disconnected. This story will be updated if any new information becomes available.
