After a successful tenure as a pop-up at Bagelsaurus in Cambridge’s Porter Square, Rabottini’s Pizza will go beyond its Friday-only appearances, serving its square pies five days a week in Allston at 182 Western Ave., in the former Stone Hearth Pizza space, for an “extended stay.”
Rabottini’s still has to get approval for licensing and permitting, after which it will begin service from 5 to 10 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, according to founder Dan Roberts. The menu will include the now-familiar square pizzas Rabottini’s has been serving at Bagelsaurus, along with salads and some small plates.
Roberts is “super excited to get a chance to do this on a larger scale and get our pizza to a larger audience,” he told Eater. He runs the pop-up alongside his wife, Erinn.
They plan to open as soon as possible, with the residency in Allston extending into the fall, and they will share more details and an exact opening date on social media soon.
This is the last week that Rabottini’s will pop up at Bagelsaurus before the move to Allston. Bagelsaurus itself began as a pop-up inside another business (Cutty’s in Brookline), so Rabottini’s move marks the next generation in the carb-filled pop-up family tree.
