Inman Square becomes a hotbed of Mediterranean cuisine on Monday, March 5, with the opening of Pita Cambridge, the fast-casual sibling to full-service neighbor Moona (243 Hampshire St.). Pita comes to Cambridge (11 Springfield St.) from Mohamad El Zein and partner Radouan Ouassaidi, who have three other Pita locations in the area: in the South End, Back Bay, and Downtown Boston.

After opening Moona, the duo came to love Inman Square, and when the former Olecito space opened up, they jumped at the chance to expand Pita, El Zein previously told Eater. The renovated space accommodate six or seven seats, but the business will predominantly cover takeout and delivery.

Just like its Boston siblings, the menu at Pita Cambridge embraces Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes, including shawarma and falafel wraps, kebabs, mezze (including muhammara, harissa hummus, and labneh), and more. For those looking for a quick snack, Pita also has a retail fridge for prepared foods to grab and go.

To greet the neighborhood for its opening, Pita Cambridge is offering $5 roll-ups throughout the day today, March 5.
