The latest addition to Southie’s dining scene opens tomorrow, March 16. Shredded (246 West Broadway 02127), which specializes in salads and noodle bowls, will open at 11 a.m. and remain open till 9 p.m. Sean Quirk — one of the partners behind Shredded — told Eater in December that he and his partners wanted to bring a healthy option to the neighborhood they live in.
“We [the partners] are all health-conscious, and we thought it would be great to have a local group — people who all live in South Boston — do a local, healthy concept,” Quirk said at the time. “We want to work with local gyms, local nutritionists, local farms. We want it to be a truly homegrown business.”
Shredded doesn’t have much of a presence online yet, but its Instagram account has been providing potential patrons with updates since June 2017, including a sneak peek at the menu, which features dishes such as a sweet potato pad thai noodle bowl, salmon nicoise salad, and roasted tomato basil soup.
