Maybe it’s the urge to seek relief from the chill of winter, maybe it’s the delicious appeal of silky broth and stretchy noodles — either way, the local ramen scene keeps expanding, with new restaurants cropping up all over the city with some frequency.
The newest addition has decided on Cambridge’s Porter Square for its future home, bringing even more ramen (and sushi, too) to the neighborhood. One Ramen & Sushi will open at 1759 Massachusetts Ave., next door to The Abbey, according to Boston Restaurant Talk.
One Ramen & Sushi will replace Super Fusion, which indicates on its website that it’s closed for remodeling and will reopen in March. Licensing information indicates the new restaurant will seat 19 patrons and could operate seven days a week from 11 a.m. to either 10 or 11 p.m.
While there’s very little in the way of a digital presence for the virtually ungoogleable One Ramen & Sushi, it will presumably serve both ramen and sushi, joining existing restaurants such as Yume Wo Katare and Sapporo Ramen in filling Porter Square with piles and piles of noodles.
