A Maine-born, Cambridge-grown burger restaurant has just expanded to Boston, opening its second brick-and-mortar location in Brighton at Boston Landing. Mainely Burgers (133 Guest St.) debuted last week, slinging burgers, fries, and more in a sprawling 2,000-square-foot space of the development’s Lantera building.
Founders and brothers Max and Jack Barber started the business as a food truck in Maine before opening a restaurant in Cambridge’s Central Square in 2016, offering burgers, hot dogs, sides, frappes, and salad.
For burgers, diners can order a beef, chicken, or veggie patty, served on a bun, in a lettuce wrap, or in a bowl. Toppings include fried eggs, pickled onions, cheese, sliced apple, and pico de gallo. There are also options for hot dogs, including Chicago-style with onions, tomato, mustard, relish, and celery salt. To round out the meal, there are truffle fries, crispy Brussels sprouts, and Buffalo cauliflower.
The Boston Landing development consists of residences, offices, and several retail and dining establishments, including pizza-and-bowling venue Flatbread Company, Kohi Coffee (which also recently expanded), and Rail Stop. It’s also home to the Boston Bruins and Celtics training facilities and the New Balance headquarters.
Mainely Burgers at Boston Landing is open Monday through Wednesday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 12 to 8 p.m.
