Breakfast Sandwiches Come Out in Full Force in Roxbury

A self-proclaimed “breakfast paradise” opened earlier this month in Roxbury, offering customizable sandwiches, some sweet treats, and a host of sides. The Breakfast Spot (651 Warren St.) is now up and running, making a point in both name and menu of specializing in the first meal of the day, keeping it simple with sandwiches, pancakes, grits, and more.

Starting with a firm lineup of breakfast sandwiches that come topped with scrambled eggs, cheese, and assorted meats, the Breakfast Spot offers rolls, bagels, and English muffins for bread options. There are also daily specials, along with chicken and waffles, pancakes with eggs and sausage or turkey bacon, and eggs with home fries. Additionally, there are slow-simmered grits with salted butter, cheddar cheese, and jumbo Cajun shrimp.

A selection of sides rounds out the menu and stretches breakfast a bit into lunch, with chicken wings, biscuits, and beef hot links, among other items.

The Breakfast Spot operates from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., Tuesday through Sunday, and has a Friday fish fry special featuring fried haddock and grits.
