With Thanksgiving coming up on November 22, 2018, followed quickly by Christmas and a variety of other early winter celebrations, pies are an essential piece of the holiday puzzle. If you don’t feel like diving into baking this year, plenty of local restaurants and bakers are now taking pie orders for the holiday season. Here are some sweet options in and around Boston, including pies of all flavors — and a few other special desserts.

7ate9 Bakery
199C Highland Ave., Spring Hill, Somerville

Ok, this one’s not pie — it’s cheesecake — but it’ll fit right in on your holiday table. Flavors include pumpkin, cookies and cream, Taza chocolate raspberry, peanut butter cup, and more. Prices range from $10 to $52 depending on size and type. Order online; the store will be open until 5 p.m. on November 21 for pickups.

The flavors are key lime, pecan, pumpkin, and apple crumb, and all are served with whipped cream. Order through the catering office — (617) BIG-RIBS — for pickup at any of the locations between 11 a.m. and 9 p.m. on November 21 for Thanksgiving or between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on December 24 for Christmas. There are apple, pecan, pumpkin, and sweet potato pies available, and you can also donate $30 to gift a pie to a Community Servings client. (Additional donations of any amount are also welcome.) Order and donate online through November 17, and pick up pies at numerous Boston-area locations (pick a location when placing an order). Exact pickup hours vary by location, but for the most part, pies will be available for pickup on November 21.
