The Regal Beagle has closed. The Coolidge Corner spot (308 Harvard St., Brookline) — named for the pub on Three’s Company — opened in 2009 in the former Takashima space and quickly became a popular hangout for locals looking to snack on bar food like tater tots and bacon-wrapped dates, new American-style fare like chicken scallopini and fancy mac and cheese, and smart cocktails by longtime manager Luke Hayden.
Regal Beagle owner Kristian Deyesso confirmed the closure with Eater but declined to provide further details. “We’re closed for now,” he said. Deyesso was also co-founder of Fenway restaurant and music venue Church, which closed in 2015.
Whether “for now” means that the Beagle may reopen in the future is unclear, but the restaurant served its final meal — at least for now — last night, October 10.
