Revere is about to get a restaurant dedicated to serving a broad selection of Thai dishes, and it’s taking over the space of a different Thai restaurant that recently closed down. Rice Passions makes its debut on Tuesday, January 30, at 163 Squire Rd., filling Revere with rice dishes, noodles, and more.
The previous occupant of the space, Maekha Thai, shuttered last October due to the owner’s health issues, as previously reported. A message posted to Maekha Thai’s Facebook page at the time said Rice Passions would “carry on the life of [Maekha Thai’s] recipes and traditions,” but with updates to the menu.
The Rice Passions menu includes dishes such as shrimp pad thai, udon curry, lemon chicken, mango curry, and salmon with vegetables, among others. Lunch specials will be available until 3 p.m.
Currently, the beverage menu includes lemonade, juices, and teas, but as previously reported, the restaurant intends to serve a full bar and is working on transferring Maekha Thai’s liquor license.
Once Rice Passions opens, it will offer takeout, catering, and delivery, in addition to dine-in service. Its lunch hours will run from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday and from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, while dinner will be available from 4 to 9:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 4 to 10 p.m. Friday, 3 to 10 p.m. Saturday, and 3 to 9:30 p.m. Sunday. The restaurant will be closed Mondays.
