Diva Indian Bistro in Somerville’s Davis Square has closed down after about two decades in business, leaving a vacancy in the bustling dining neighborhood, according to Boston Restaurant Talk.

The restaurant, situated at 246 Elm St., displayed a note of thanks for customers and the neighborhood for supporting the business through the years.

“The people of Davis Square welcomed us with open arms some 20 years back, and for that we will be forever grateful,” the sign read. “We have developed many friendships and loyal customers over the years, and we shall miss them, but the time has come for us to pursue other endeavors.”

Diva Indian Bistro served a range of dishes including tandoori specials, dosa, meat and vegetable entrees, and thali, or set dinners with an array of dishes to sample. It was a part of the One World Cuisine restaurant group, which also runs Dosa Factory, Bao Nation, Mela, and Bukhara.
