A Thai restaurant will be taking over the space formerly occupied by Seven Star Street Bistro, a small Roslindale restaurant that served Asian street food and closed down last June after six years in business. Seven Star Street Bistro announced the news on Facebook, letting fans of the restaurant know about the forthcoming Tasty Thai, which could open at 153 Belgrade Ave. as early as next month, serving an “authentic, different, and interesting” menu.
Seven Star Street Bistro was the recipient of Boston’s first-ever BYOB license, which took effect in April 2017, just two months before the restaurant closed. In October 2017, the Seven Star space served as host for Simcha, a pop-up from Avi Shemtov of the Chubby Chickpea food truck, featuring contemporary Israeli dishes.
Now, Tasty Thai will take the reins with a goal of opening in February. Eater has reached out for more details and will post any updates about the new restaurant as they are made available.
