A long-awaited pizza place on the North Shore finally made its debut Tuesday, September 5, after more than two years of construction and planning: A Revere outpost of Braintree’s Easy Pie officially opened this week at 649 Squire Rd., owner Spiros Stogiannis confirmed.
Easy Pie first kicked off plans for its North Shore expansion plans in the summer of 2015. Its new home previously housed a Dunkin’ Donuts, and over the last two years, Stogiannis oversaw serious renovations to the space, which required tearing out existing equipment, expanding the kitchen, and adding a garage door to the front of the restaurant, as previously reported. He also overhauled the menu for the new location.
While the food menu at Revere’s Easy Pie does somewhat resemble the original Braintree menu, there are notable differences, including 10 new pizzas that feature toppings from roast beef to pork, ham, and pickles. There are also pepperoni pizza buns, rolled like Cinnabon rolls, and a chicken-and-waffle sandwich. The restaurant seats 51 inside and another 51 outside on a seasonal patio. Easy Pie has been opening at 5 p.m. during this first week in business.
