Dive into the weekend with a sweet morning filled with French pastries: Salem’s delightful Caramel French Patisserie opens a new location this weekend, unveiling its shop at 235A Elm St. in Somerville’s Davis Square on Saturday, according to Boston Magazine.
Owners and siblings Dimitri and Sophie Vallier will open the doors at 9 a.m. with a full menu of French sweets on hand, including multiple flavors of macarons, lemon tarts, eclairs, flan, and baked pastries and breads. They shared the news in a post on Facebook, giving fair warning to patrons that they anticipate selling out before closing on the first day.
Caramel French Patisserie has made a name for itself on Massachusetts’ North Shore. The Vallier siblings, originally from southern central France, opened the original shop in Salem in October 2015 and have received quite the acclaim, including two “Best of the North Shore” awards. The expansion to Davis Square will bring a taste of France closer to Boston residents, and the original location will remain open in Salem.
Davis Square’s Caramel French Patisserie will operate Tuesday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. and on weekends from 9 a.m. 7 p.m.
