A new restaurant in Roxbury opened earlier this month and held a grand opening celebration over the weekend with Boston Mayor Marty Walsh in attendance, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. Fort Hill Bar & Grill (2805 Washington St.) replaces Norvia’s Place, which occupied the location several years ago.

Owner Norvia Pena appeared before Boston’s licensing board in the summer of 2016 with plans to bring the bar back to life as a restaurant, featuring structural changes including the addition of dozens of new seats, raising the total number from 15 to 45, as previously reported.

With new features inside and a new name, Fort Hill Bar & Grill has a dense menu that includes seafood entrees, tacos, grilled chicken sandwiches, stuffed quesadillas, salads, seafood soup, fajitas, and more.

The restaurant operates daily from 11 a.m. to 1 a.m.
