A hot spot for Neapolitan pizza just expanded to the MetroWest: Worcester-based Volturno has finally debuted its new location in Framingham.
Volturno specializes in Neapolitan-style pizza and boasts an official certification from the Associazione Vera Pizza Napoletana, according to its website. Plans for the restaurant’s Framingham expansion first surfaced in the fall of 2015, and a tip from a Twitter user indicates that the restaurant is now up and running. Volturno also posted a message of thanks on its Facebook page, acknowledging the support and work that made the Framingham restaurant possible.
In addition to more than a dozen Neapolitan pizza options, Volturno also serves primi, such as house-made ricotta and arancini; secondi, such as brick chicken, salmon, and rib eye; pasta dishes; and salads.
The Framingham restaurant is located at 1 Edgell Rd., while the original in Worcester is at 72 Shrewsbury St.
