For those who get their holiday plans lined up early, this one’s for you. A pop-up Christmas bar will make its way to the Boston area this year, filling the Kimpton Marlowe’s Lobby Bar (25 Edwin H. Land Blvd., East Cambridge) with festive cheer for a month between Thanksgiving and Christmas. First launched in New York City in 2014, Miracle’s reach will extend to two other locations in Massachusetts as well this year: It will appear at the Citizen in Worcester (1 Exchange St.) and at Mystic Station in Malden (139 Pleasant St.), in addition to the hotel in Cambridge, from the day after Thanksgiving on Friday, November 24, through Christmas Eve on Sunday, December 24.
Owner and founder Greg Boehm created the pop-up bar on the recommendation of his mother, temporarily pausing work on opening his cocktail bar, Mace, in New York’s East Village. His pop-up bar brought holiday-inspired drinks and seasonal decorations to the unfinished space, and it was such a success that the idea spread among Boehm’s friends and colleagues. This year marks Miracle’s fourth return to its original space, and it will be under the moniker “Miracle on 9th.”
Those in Cambridge, Worcester, and Malden can expect plenty of holiday cheer and themed cocktails that range from a Snowball Old Fashioned (gingerbread bourbon, bitters, and lemon zest) to Run Run Rudolph (tequila, coffee liqueur, iced hot chocolate, and Mexican spices).

The Miracle bar features custom glassware, including Santa mugs and coupe glasses, available for sale at certain locations. In the spirit of the season, 10 percent of glass sales will go toward the charity organization Action Against Hunger.
Anyone traveling for the holidays and worried about missing out on this bit of festivity in the Boston area, not to worry: Miracle will be in more than 50 locations around the world (yes, world) this year. For a look at the full cocktail list, see below:
