Tacos galore filled Somerville’s Assembly Row last week with the opening of a new Sabroso Taqueria at 475 Revolution Dr., next door to Mike’s Pastry. With one location in the Financial District and a food truck that rotates locations around the city, this is the second brick-and-mortar location for Sabroso.
Though a taqueria by name, Sabroso specializes in more than just tacos: The restaurant serves a burrito grande stuffed with rice, beans, cheese, pico de gallo, hot sauce, crema, guacamole, and a choice of protein; a burrito bowl version without the tortilla; quesadillas; and salads. There are also two kinds of soup, chili or chicken tortilla, and extra cheese, meat, and guac available for truly hungry diners.
The Somerville restaurant celebrated its grand opening last week, per posts on its Facebook page, and the Assembly Row website now confirms the opening. Sabroso Taqueria has a beer and wine license, and it is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner. Hours run Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
