Boston is getting yet another coffee option today as London-based, Italy-inspired Caffe Nero opens yet another area location, this time in South Boston. Located at 416 W. Broadway (across from Loco Taqueria), the new Caffe Nero debuts with limited hours and free coffee today, August 9, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. As previously reported, wing chain Wingstop is also slated to open a location in the same building.
Caffe Nero first expanded to the United States in mid-2014 with a location in Boston’s Downtown Crossing. Since then, it has rapidly spread around the Boston area, adding locations throughout Boston proper as well as in Cambridge, Brookline, Wellesley, and beyond.
Each location is designed a bit differently in order to fit into its neighborhood, but they all share a cozy, rustic vibe that works well for those seeking some caffeine and wifi time. The menu includes a variety of cold and hot coffee drinks and other beverages, as well as baked goods, croissant sandwiches, yogurt, and more.
After today, the Southie Caffe Nero will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekdays and 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. weekends.
