Well, this is one way to try to climb to the top of Google results: A restaurant named Best Burger Bar opens August 10 at 195 Washington St. in Brookline Village, the space that was formerly home to the Middle Gray.
As previously reported, a former Jerry Remy’s Sports Bar partner, John Mascia, is behind the forthcoming burger-focused restaurant, which will seat around 40 inside and 20 on a seasonal patio, a rarity in the neighborhood. Also involved: Brother Cleve, a big name in the Boston cocktail scene, created the cocktail list, and Nick Wilson — an alum of Tatte Bakery & Cafe, Fat Cat in Quincy, and the Cottage in Chestnut Hill — is executive chef.
Here’s the menu, which includes a range of burgers (including some veggie options) and dogs; sides such as chicken “wangz,” which are hopefully wings; poutine; salads; and more. Boozy milkshakes and frozen cocktails add some extra fun to the drink list.
Once Best Burger Bar opens on the 10th, there will be a deal running through the end of the month: kids 12 and under will get a complimentary burger with purchase of an adult sandwich.
