A sushi restaurant with multiple locations in New York City has closed down its only Boston location. Haru Sushi is no longer operating at 55 Huntington Ave. near the Prudential Center, per a newsletter email from the restaurant. Universal Hub first reported the news based on a tip from Twitter.

While Haru’s departure from Back Bay hardly leaves the neighborhood without sushi options (Snappy Sushi, Typhoon, Douzo Sushi, and many others are close by), it vacates a coveted restaurant space with an outdoor patio. Haru was known for its extensive menu of more than just sushi: The restaurant also served filet mignon, soup, dumplings, and even ceviche tacos.

The restaurant bid farewell to Boston diners in an email message that expressed thanks: “We appreciate your loyalty to Haru Sushi and look forward to seeing you again soon.” Haru still has six locations around New York City.
