More juice will arrive in Boston soon, this time in Jamaica Plain. Ammy Lowney, a former Boston Public Schools teacher, and her husband Mike Lowney, a primary care physician in Hyde Park, will open Juicygreens Juice Bar and Cafe within the former Harvest Co-op space at 57 South St., according to Jamaica Plain News.

The idea came from the Lowneys’ desire for a place to get quick, healthy food, Ammy Lowney told JPN. Juicygreens will serve cold-pressed juices, which will also be part of the juice bar’s “cleanse” offerings, designed to supplement clean eating plans.

The rest of the menu consists of smoothies, toasts, salads, soups, buddha bowls, acai bowls, and coffee from local roasters. The Lowneys plan to make nut milks as well, and there will be plenty of vegan and gluten-free items on the menu.

The Lowneys are aiming for a November 2017 opening for Juicygreens, which will have seating inside and outside on a small patio.
